starling I took at 60 yards

went straight through his chest.
Buster
M. Hate to spoil anyone's honeymoon
but when they give you a look, well, what can I say. They came down
the tree , the Mrs. gave me the best shot ever. The male ran away,
but came back , started nudging the Mrs, and he met the same fate.
Guess their fun is over. First ones that I've seen all summer. two
well placed shots with my Diana 46E .177 at 25 yards
Erik
Djokic .
Heres a squirrel I got with my much
disliked Benjamin Legacy. I keep it as a back up gun in case my
R9 poops out. Hit this guy as he was running away from the birdfeeder
and actually got him on the run. 8.3g Gamo Dome stopped him pretty
quickly.
Dr
Uring .I bagged both squirrels on 10/24/04
on my property here in central Iowa. The gun is a RWS model 54 in
.177 cal with a BSA 3x12x44 airgun scope in an RWS 1 piece mount.
Pellets used are RWS Super Mags. The chest shot was perfect at a
stepped off 37 yards. The head shot was stepped off at 22 yards.
Both seemed to be basically instant kills.
I have bagged over 110 red squirrels off the property since February
2003 with the same gun. Quite a few shots have been made at distances
over 50 yards.

. Took the day off yesterday to hunt.
I headed to my favorite area 6 miles SE of Lincoln and got squirrel
#1 minutes after leaving my truck. Saw lots of squirrels today,
but as usual only got shots at a few. Squirrel #2 was bagged about
an hour later. Right after I dropped him I quietly took two steps
toward the downed squirrel before I spotted another. I had a rested
shot from about 20 yards and I heard the pellet hit home. The squirrel
was only about five feet off the ground when he fell. I looked for
the squirrel for 45 minutes and couldn't find it. I either couldn't
see it because of all the red leaves on the ground, or I didn't
hit him good enough to keep him from running. Either way, I felt
bad. I really hate to have game suffer. I hope I was wrong about
hitting him and that I missed clean, but I don't think so. I was
quietly moving down a game path a little latter when I heard something
headed my way. I froze and then saw a squirrel running right toward
me with a large piece of plastic in his mouth. He stopped only about
five yards from me! I couldn't see him in the scope well because
it only focuses to 10 yards! Despite the blurry site picture, I
shot but missed him badly. I passed on a follow-up shot because
it was too close again and this one got away (but he dropped the
plastic). All in all, a great day in the woods. Saw lots of dear
and heard a bunch of turkeys.
Drew.
Shot this gray up in a oak tree about 15yrds away with my Domin8or

Terry,
17lb Wild Boar. In some parts of Europe,
wild boars are a real pest. The sooner you eat them, the better.
I shot that piglet at exactly 21 yards with my HW77/.177 + RWS Superpoint
pellet: heart/lung shot; dropped dead on its knees.
On my parents farm, wild boars always follow the same track, so
I ambush them. I wake up before dawn and go to my hiding place and
wait. After raiding some field during the night, the wild boars
go back to their woods at dawn Once I saw 12 of them running around
that track. In one place it's quite steep so they all stop before
jumping, and it's when I shoot. So, I know that it's exactly 21
yards and the afternoon before I practice again and again on a target
at that distance. So far, it has always been one shot, one kill.
